The Bird Opening Trap

With the f-pawn gone, the e1-h4 diagonal is open and g3 cannot be held.

Opening: From's Gambit. Set by Black. Level: Intermediate.

The moves

1.f4 e5 2.fxe5 d6 3.exd6 Bxd6 4.Nc3 Qh4+ 5.g3 Qxg3+ 6.hxg3 Bxg3#

It only works after a mistake

White must play Nc3 for it to work. From's Gambit is playable; the trap needs White to miss the Qh4+ idea.
